Red Barn

Red Barn

On October 26, 2017, I had the opportunity to meet the owners, Will and his wife. They talked to us about the culinary industry and how it brings so much joy. Yes it's very difficult, but it's all worth it when you are getting paid for what you love doing. Right?

They are usually available at the Waimea Farmers Market, every Wednesday and Saturday. If you're out there, stop by and try their ono sandwiches.

The picture above is their typical menu. Its pretty specific and lists the ingredients for each of their sandwiches. Plus they love to incorporate local products, so yes it's always great when we're eating locally grown foods.

On this platter, I have the Frenchman, Purple Pig Sandwich, and the Green Garden.

Frenchman: Alii & cremini mushrooms, beefy onions, gruyere, and truffle oil
Purple Pig: Pulled pork, smoked gouda, lomi tomato, and sweet taro bread
The Green Garden: Big Island Avocado, kale, goat cheese with tarragon spread.

First of all, all the ingredients for The Green Garden are locally grown here in the Big Island. Its filled with flavors and it's really creamy. Only the chosen ones can eat this nahh jk. But do try it!!. This one for sure one of the best. You need to try the Green Garden if you're living a healthy lifestyle. It’s VEGAN!!!😋
You should try the frenchman if you love mushrooms and cheese together. Its awesomely delicious. If you love taro sweet bread, you gotta try the Purple Pig Sandwich. And if you love the color purple like I do, you'll definitely choose this. I don’t personally prefer tomato on my sandwich, but on this one, I didn’t really care because it tasted good with it.

There will be a link of their Facebook page below.

Check them out and support local vendors. And trust me, you won't regret it. ☺️ comment below if you wanna try it or if you have already did. I love hearing other people’s opinions so be sure to share your thoughts.👍😄
