Short bio of me :)

     Hey!

My name is Larrianne Daine Lagpacan but that's too long and most people say it incorrectly, just call me Daine which is very simple and easy. You are probably wondering what this blog is about and why I am doing this. Well, I’ll  tell if you continue to read this introduction. In advance, thank you for keeping your word. I know you're reading. 😆😆😆
I am currently a culinary arts student at Palamanui, Hawaii community college. This industry is difficult and a rigorous path but I'm always up for a challenge.  I have always been passionate about cooking ever since I was young and eating is part of my survival. Like everyone needs to eat to be alive. Food is a source of happiness and satisfies the purpose of life. I love the adrenaline I get when I cook and when people taste and enjoy the meals is very rewarding. There's this hype I feel when I'm in the kitchen and I can't express in words of how amazing I feel.

( During highschool, particpated in the PBA Assessment. competed and won 3rd place which isn't that bad. )

( L to R; workshop at Daylight Mind. Taste of Hawaii. Lastly, I took a pic with the former executive chef of Four Seasons)

( Major Throwback: L to R: Lei ClimbHi program. Roast & Roots with Chef Dayne and Chef Joe. and Yes!! I was amazed to meet someone who had the same name as me. Taste of Hawaii 2014. Last pic is from Fall 2017, so not really a major throwback, just the other 3 images)

( Left to right; These picture are from fall 2017 activities: culinary daily family lunch, everyone gathers and eat together after a hard day. setting up tables for luncheon. Selfie after luncheon. relaxing after frustrating set up for luncheon. 😂 )

Since my love for food is greater than anything else and participating in culinary events creates another world for me. It has given me so much experience and makes my life a little more enjoyable. I would like to share my thoughts and opinions on local grinds available in Kona, Hawaii. As my blog journey begins, I'll start with small mom and pops to bigger food operations. For my food reviews my opinions on my opinions my taste buds will be different from other individuals so please don't take it personal enjoy reading it, learn a few culinary terms, and hope you’ll visit these places with an open mind.Cant wait!!

( Through Palamanui, I had the opportunity to meet celebrity chef Lianne Wong. She taught us how to make the proper dumpling and how simple it was. It was a fun learning experience and I definitely took something from her. )
